Rani Rudrama Devi (1245-1289)

Rani Rudrama Devi was a prominent ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty, “Kakatiya” resembles for the Kamma community for ages. It’s been around for a long time, and having a queen from our community makes us really proud. She reigned over the Kakatiya kingdom in present day Telangana, India, from around 1263 to 1289 CE. Rudrama Devi is celebrated for her valor, administrative skills, and efforts in defending her kingdom against external threats. She is renowned for her bravery in battles and her commitment to her people’s welfare. Rudrama Devi’s reign marked a significant period in the history of the Kakatiya dynasty and her legacy continues to inspire generations.

Sri Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu (1783-1817)

Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu was a Hereditary zamindar of Chinthapally, later Amaravathi in the Palnadu list of india, under the British east india company. He had undor his control 552 villages and towns located in Guntur & Krishna Dist. He was great devotee of Lord Shiva.

Sri Bollini Munuswamy Naidu (1885-1935)

Bollini Munuswamy Naidu, born in Tiruttani, Madras Presidency, emerged as a significant figure in Indian politics as the Prime Minister of Madras Presidency from 1930 to 1932. Rising through the ranks of the Justice Party, he assumed its presidency in 1928. Naidu’s leadership during the Great Depression was marked by efforts to steer Madras through economic turmoil, often clashing with powerful zamindars and facing internal party dissent. Despite resigning in 1932, his commitment to democratizing the party and advocating for social justice, alongside figures like N. G. Ranga, remains an enduring part of his legacy.

Sri Kaviraju Tripuraneni Ramaswamy Chowdary (1887 - 1943)

born in Angaluru village, Krishna district, he was a multifaceted personality, excelling as an author, freedom fighter, and social reformer. He played a crucial role in inspiring the youth of Telugu-speaking regions to join the freedom movement through his patriotic songs and writings.

Sri Edpuganti Raghavendra Rao (1890-1942)

Sir E. Raghavendra Rao was a distinguished political figure who served as both the Chief Minister and Governor of the Central Province in British India. Hailing from the Kamma  community, he made significant contributions to the political landscape during the colonial era. As Chief Minister, he played a crucial role in governance and policy-making in the Central Province. Later, as Governor, he provided leadership and oversight in administering them region. His tenure is remembered for his administrative acumen and efforts in advancing the welfare of the people.

Sri Kalluri Chandramouli (1898-1992)

born in Moparru village of Amrtaluru mandal, Guntur Dist. Kalluri Chandramouli was a pioneering freedom fighter and politician from Andhra Pradesh, known for his dedication to Gandhian principles. He actively participated in the salt satyagraha movement and endured imprisonment. He served as a legislator and minister in the Government of Madras Province, Andhra and Andhra Pradesh.

Sri Acharya N.G. Ranga (1900-1995)

Revered as the “Father of Indian Peasant Movement,” emerged as a towering figure in the fight against colonial oppression. His advocacy for farmers’ rights and contributions to irrigation projects left an indelible mark on the struggle for independence. The legacy of courage extended to Smt. Gogineni Bharti Devi Ranga, wife of Acharya N.G. Ranga, who tirelessly championed farmer’s rights, embodying resilience and dedication.

Sri Kakani Venkataratnam (1900 – 1972)

born in Akunur village, Krishna district, he is fondly remembered as “Ukku Kakani,” epito mized the spirit of selflessness and dedica tion to public service. He was a strong propo nent of Gandhian principles and actively participated in Salt Satyagraha. He served as Member of Parliament and his advocacy for rural development and grassroots empowerment left an indelible mark on Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape

Sri Chandra Rajeswara Rao (1915 - 1994)

was a distinguished freedom
fighter, socialist, and leader of the Telangana armed struggle. Born in Mangalapuram village, Krishna district, he served as the National General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) for over 28 years. Rajeswara Rao received international recognition for his anti-imperialist and peace movements

Sri L.V. Prasad (1908-1994)

Born in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh on January 17, 1908, L.V. Prasad was a visionary in Indian cinema, excelling in various roles and establishing Prasad Studios. His impact, recognized by awards like the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and Padma Bhushan, extended beyond cinema through initiatives like the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, leaving a legacy of cinematic brilliance and compassionate humanitarianism.

Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) (1923 – 1996)

born in Andhra Pradesh’s Nimmakuru, rose from the Telugu film industry to become a cinematic legend and was honored with the Padma Shri in 1968. Transitioning to politics, he established the Telugu Desam Party in 1982, swiftly winning the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections and serving three terms as Chief Minister. NTR was instrumental in enhancing the political engagement of the masses and elevating the status of the Telugu community globally, including the Kamma community.

Sri Raja Vasireddy Ramagopala Krishna Maheswara Prasad (Muthyala Raja) (1917-1972)

He is known as “Muthyala Raja” he was the king of Muthyala Samasthanam. He was Former Union Minister of Irrigation and power and strived hard for the construction of “Pulichinthala Project” He donated 52Lakhs rupees and 5000 acres of land as matching grant for the project construction.

Sri Mullapudi Harishchandra Prasad

An influential figure hailing from Tanuku, Andhra Pradesh, belonged to a prominent Kamma Zamindar family. Renowned as an Indian politician and industrialist, he spearheaded the Andhra Sugars Group as chairman and managing director and held pivotal positions in Andhra Petrochemicals and the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI). Notably, Prasad was instrumental in establishing Andhra Sugars in 1947, earning it the moniker “Andhra Birla.” His entrepreneurial ventures included pioneering the first aspirin factory in India and creating a rocket fuel unit for the Indian Space Research Organisation. Prasad’s political career saw him elected twice to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

Sri Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu

He often referred to as G.D. Naidu, was a multifaceted personality renowned for his contributions to industrial development and innovation. Hailing from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, G.D. Naidu was not only an industrialist but also an Indian inventor and engineer who is referred to as the “Edison of India” and “the wealth creator of Coimbatore”. He is credited with the manufacture of the first electric motor in India. His contributions were primarily industrial but also spanned the fields of electrical, mechanical, agricultural (hybrid cultivation) and automobile engineering. He had only primary education but excelled as a versatile genius and also known as “Miracle Man”.

Sri Velagapudi Ramakrishna

A multifaceted figure renowned as an Indian Civil Service (ICS) officer, industrialist, and philanthropist. Notably, he founded the KCP (Krishna Commercial Products) group of companies in 1941,commencing with a co-operative sugar factory in Andhra Pradesh. His pioneering contributions in industry significantly impacted the development of the erstwhile Madras State.

Sri G. Kuppuswami Naidu

A distinguished entrepreneur and businessman hailing from Coimbatore, India. His entrepreneurial journey began in 1910 with the establishment of Lakshmi Mills, which swiftly emerged as a leading manufacturer of textile yarn and cloth in Coimbatore. Under his guidance, Lakshmi Mills expanded its operations, encompassing multiple textile units, a machine tools company, and various educational institutions and hospitals within Coimbatore.

Smt. V. S. Ramadevi

A pioneering Indian politician, achieving several firsts in her illustrious career. Notably, she served as the 9th Chief Election Commissioner of India, becoming the first woman to hold this esteemed position. Additionally, she was the first lady to assume the role of Governor of Karnataka, as well as the first (and to date, only) woman to serve as Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha. Her remarkable contributions have left an indelible mark on Indian politics.

Sri Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu

An Indian politician who has served in various capacities in government and politics. he has been a prominent member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Naidu has held several important positions, including President of the BJP from 2002 to 2004, Minister of Rural Development, Minister of Urban Development, and Minister of Information and Broadcasting in the Indian government. He served as the Vice President of India from 2017 to 2022. Known for his oratory skills and commitment to public service, Naidu has been a key figure in Indian politics for decades.

Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu

Nara Chandrababu Naidu, admiringly called CBN, started his political journey as a student leader in the 1970s and was part of the Indian National Congress (INC). As the National President of the TDP, Naidu served as the Chief Minister (CM) of United Andhra Pradesh for 9 years, and 5 years as CM for AP. His leadership brought about significant changes in the state’s economy, especially in Hyderabad, where he led the creation of HITEC City, a hub for information technology, and made it a Cyberabad. This initiative not only provided jobs to Lakhs of Telugu youth but also attracted investments and put Hyderabad on the global IT map. Naidu’s interactions with world leaders like Bill Clinton and Bill Gates resulted in the establishment of multinational corporations such as Microsoft and Oracle in the city. Hyderabad became India’s first IT city and a major software hub, contributing significantly to the country’s export revenue. His efforts elevate Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad to global prominence on the world map. At the national level, Naidu played a crucial role in politics, convening the United Front and serving as the Convener of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). His strategic skills were evident in the selection of Prime Ministers during the United Front and NDA tenure. As a respected world personality and national leader, his influence even extended to the appointment of the Vice President and President of India.
